has announced that it has decided to sell the smartphone unit of Motorola
Mobility to Chinese company Lenovo, in a deal that is valued at $2.91 billion
and will see Google retain most of Motorola’s important patents.

The ‘always
listening’ Moto X smartphone has been unveiled by Google-owned Motorola
Mobility. This is the first smartphone to be developed after Google acquired
Motorola in a $12.5 billion takeover.
